The God helmet" was an experimental apparatus developed by neurotheologists Stanley Coren and Michael Persinger designed to stimulate religious experiences through neural stimulation. Participants from Persinger’s studies reported seeing “presences,” though these findings have not been replicated.

For a Halloween costume, I recreated the God helmet with foam, wire, washers, vellum paper, string lights and a battery pack.
